Florida Lifestyle Homes Lily Rose model at Babcock Ranch:

First in Southwest Florida to receive both Platinum certification from the Florida Green Building Coalition and Gold Florida Water Star certification from South Florida Water Management District

BABCOCK RANCH, Fla. (Nov. 22, 2019) – The first house in Southwest Florida to receive both Platinum certification from the Florida Green Building Coalition and Gold Florida Water Star certification from South Florida Water Management District was unveiled at Babcock Ranch at a ribbon cutting ceremony for Florida Lifestyle Homes’ new Lily Rose model.

President of Florida Lifestyle Homes Bill Ennen accepted the certification awards from C.J. Davila, executive director of the Florida Green Building Coalition and Robert Wanvestraut, senior conservation analyst at South Florida Water Management District.

Florida Water Star is SFWMD’s water conservation certification program for new and existing homes and commercial developments. Standards and guidelines for water efficiency are included for indoor fixtures and appliances; landscape design and irrigation systems.

Builders who use FGBC’s residential green standards reach beyond minimum requirements in the areas of energy performance, water conservation; site conditions; healthier home; materials and disaster mitigation. The Lily Rose received a certified home score of 195 points to achieve Platinum certification.

Babcock Ranch was recognized as the first Florida Green Building Coalition Platinum Certified Land Development project in 2018.

“When we envisioned Babcock Ranch, we decided that all our homes must receive a bronze standard of certification or higher from the Florida Green Building Coalition,” said Syd Kitson, Chairman & CEO of Kitson & Partners. “As a valued member of our builder team, Florida Lifestyle Homes has surpassed that standard and shares our commitment to making Babcock Ranch a leader in sustainable living.”

Florida Lifestyle Homes’ Lily Rose model in the Lake Babcock Estates neighborhood offers three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths in 2,488 square feet of living space. The Dream Ready home is available for $625,000.

Babcock Ranch was created by Kitson & Partners with respect for the natural environment and the philosophy that smart growth and sustainability work hand in hand. Half of the town’s 18,000-acre footprint is set aside as greenways, parks and expansive lakes, providing recreation and scenic backdrops for Babcock Ranch’s homes and the Founder’s Square downtown district.
