BABCOCK RANCH, Fla. (Jan. 8, 2021) – Babcock Ranch leads the list of best-selling communities in Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties, ranking 34th on John Burns Real Estate Consulting’s list of the 2020’s top 50 master-planned communities in the country.

“Babcock Ranch’s home sales exploded this year as it established itself as both a destination and a hometown. Its lifestyle appeals to a wide range of homebuyers – with great schools, activities and stores for kids and growing families, to nature trails, golf, and restaurants for empty nesters and retirees,” said Lesley Deutch, managing principal with John Burns Real Estate Consulting. “The town also offers a wide range of homes with multiple builders offering everything from villas to custom lakefront estates. With a Publix opening in 2021 and more neighborhoods, retail and amenities planned, Babcock Ranch has all the elements to attract new residents who seek community, convenience and sunshine!”

Babcock Ranch surpassed the 1,000 homes sold milestone in December, with 540 sales marking a 121% year-over-year increase. Babcock Ranch was also named Master Planned Community of the Year by the Lee Building Industry Association at its 2020 Industry Awards.

“So many homebuyers have reprioritized their preferences, and Babcock Ranch’s wide-open spaces and focus on nature and health are bringing more buyers than ever to our new hometown,” said Syd Kitson, Chairman and CEO of Kitson & Partners. “Whether they are raising families or choosing a place to enjoy an active retirement, the homes and lifestyle of Babcock Ranch offer the amenities and designs today’s buyers are seeking.”

Babcock Ranch began marketing new homes in 2017, with the first residents moving into the town in January 2018. Today, Babcock Ranch offers homes from eight homebuilders in seven neighborhoods, including Babcock National, the newly opened Lennar golf and lifestyle community. Construction continues at Crescent B Commons, the Publix-anchored shopping center scheduled to open later this year at a new entrance to Babcock Ranch.

Babcock Ranch homebuilders offer more than 50 home designs for nearly every lifestyle, from condominiums to villas to single-family estates ranging from 1,120 to more than 4,000 square feet. Homes appeal to young millennials, families, empty nesters and retirees alike, with prices ranging from the $200s to over $1.5 million. Built to Florida Green Building Coalition standards, homes emphasize energy and water conservation and offer a full gig of fiber-optic connectivity.

Within Babcock Ranch’s welcoming neighborhoods, more than two dozen model and quick-delivery homes are now open or under construction by AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg, Divco Custom Homes, Florida Lifestyle Homes, Fox Premier Builders, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pulte Homes and WCI. Many models are open for viewing daily.

Babcock Ranch was created by Kitson & Partners with respect for the natural environment and the philosophy that smart growth and sustainability work hand in hand. Half of the town’s 18,000-acre footprint is set aside as greenways, parks and expansive lakes, providing recreation and scenic backdrops for Babcock Ranch’s homes and the Founder’s Square downtown district.
